Making a presentation

1. Choose a starting point — a template from one of the folders, or "From scratch".
2. Describe your deck — a sentence or two on the topic and audience, plus anything to include or avoid. Attach a brief, quotation, or notes to draw real content from.
3. Generate presentation — a Lime-branded .pptx downloads. Open it in PowerPoint.
4. Fine-tune — the Lime pane opens on the right. Select any slide, describe a change (or attach a source), and it updates just that slide. Your manual edits are kept.

Be specific for the best first draft ("6 slides, Swedish wholesaler, focus on pipeline visibility"). Nothing is stored on the server - the deck downloads straight to you.

Good to know

• Numbers and quotes — the AI won't invent them. If it needs a figure it hasn't been given, it leaves a visible [Insert ...] placeholder. Attach the source document to get real numbers.
• Language — pick it before generating; the refine pane has its own language selector.
• Templates — starting from one keeps its slide structure and only rewrites the text. "From scratch" designs the whole deck.
• Don't see the Lime pane? The add-in may not be installed on that machine yet - ask IT. You can still edit the deck normally.

For admins

You see the Admin tab because your account is on the admin list. Changes here affect everyone.

• Categories (folders) — add a folder, drag the rows to change the order users see, and click one to see just its templates. A folder in use can't be removed; re-assign its templates first.
• Templates — Edit changes a template's name, description, "when to use" guidance, folder, or replaces the deck file. Delete removes it for everyone. Upload new ones with "+ Add a new template" (the folder is pre-filled from the one you're viewing).
• What makes a good template — a finished, generic deck with the slide structure you want. The AI rewrites the text and keeps the layout, so don't upload customer-specific decks.
• Tone of voice — the writing and slide-design rules the AI follows for every deck. Saving applies it to the next deck generated, so try "Test this prompt" first: it builds a sample deck from your unsaved text. Every save is versioned and any version can be restored.
• Master template — the .pptx every generated deck is built from, so its layouts are where the branding lives. Upload a new one after a brand refresh. It is checked first (real .pptx, intact XML, the layouts the builder needs, and a full test deck built on it) and a file that fails is never made live. The master it replaces is kept, so a bad upload is one click from undone.
• Icons — the AI is given icon names and categories, so renaming one or moving it to a better category is what changes which icon it picks. Add your own, retire ones that should not be used, or replace the whole library from a zip after a brand refresh. Added icons and renames survive a library replacement.
